Cowlitz County (Adobe PDF
format) for use when burning piles of natural vegetation greater
than four feet by four feet by three feet and less than ten feet
by ten feet by six feet. Not applicable in the No Burn Areas of
Longview/Kelso, Castle Rock or Woodland. For residential or land
clearing burning in unincorporated areas of Lewis County, contact
Lewis County
Community Development. Before downloading a permit, check
with your local fire department or city hall for area-specific restrictions
and permits.

All burning is permanently banned in the Southern Clark County no burn area and the cities and surrounding urban growth areas of Vancouver/Camas/Washougal, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, La Center and Yacolt.
Burning is limited to natural vegetation only in the remainder of Clark County. A free permit is necessary for all fires up to 10 x 10 x 6 and can be printed from our website at www.swcleanair.org, or you can obtain a free permit from your local fire station. Piles larger than 10 x 10 x 6 require a written permit from the Clark County Fire Marshal's office; they can be reached at 360-397-2186.

Burning is limited to natural vegetation only in the remainder of Lewis County. All burn piles, land clearing and residential, in unincorporated Lewis County require a free permit from Lewis County Community Development. Pile size varies with seasonal restrictions as outlined in the Lewis County Open Burn Permit. Call Lewis County Community Development at 360-740-1133.
